High-School-1A: Introduction to Psychology

Psychology is the scientific study of human thought, behaviour, and emotions. This six-week introductory unit is designed to spark curiosity and provide students with a foundational understanding of psychology as a discipline. Students will explore the key concepts, methods, and applications of psychology, while gaining insights into how psychology helps explain and influence human behaviour in everyday life.

This unit will cover the history and evolution of psychology, its major branches, and research methods. Students will also examine real-world applications of psychology, such as improving communication, decision-making, and mental health. Through interactive discussions, hands-on activities, and engaging multimedia, students will develop critical thinking skills and gain an appreciation for the breadth and relevance of psychology in the modern world.
